RS6 reliability?

Hi guys,

New here. Need some advice.

I've finally got in a position to buy and run a 4.2 V8 RS6....but recently I read an article from warranty direct saying the RS6 was the most unreliable car they have ever known.

From your experience is there any truth to this or is it nonsense?

Cheers,

Yes and no.
For example if primary o2 sensor fails, the only way to replace it is to pull the engine.

But if you do all the recommended maintence, it could be reliable.
MAKE sure you get as much information as possible about the car you are looking at.
Go to rs6.com there are a lot of good info.

After looking into the RS6 it does seem it has a poor rep for reliability.
I love the build quality, looks, sound and image but I did plan on using the car and not keeping it garaged and driving it on Sunday mornings!.....so I'm going to pass on it.

The V10 S6 is just in the price range to I may look into those instead.
