Hey DCEL, that is awesome! Just a little curious, any big issues along the way or has it been quite reliable? I'm thinking about getting into one of these babies as a daily driver, just test drove a 2008 with 23k on it. How much would be fair to budget for repairs/maintenance in the first couple of years? Thanks in advance!

Default Don't take no for an answer on CPO

Insist on transferring the remaining manufacturer warranty (if still in effect) and absolutely insist on Certified Pre-Owned (CPO). I bought my 2008 RS4 with original and CPO warranty included and it needed it (I'll explain later). I had test driven a 2007 RS4 in Tacoma before buying this one, and the dealer (VW/Audi/Porche) originally said CPO was totally out of the question due to age. When I told them "don't call me, I'll call you...", they called back a week later and said they'd throw-in CPO if it meant making the sale. But by then, I had already bought the one I have now.

That said, I started driving my 2008 RS4 daily to Seattle on I-5, which is one of the most "east coast" roads you'll ever find on the west coast (very rough). After a month or two, it developed an oil leak from the vibration. The inlet and outlet hoses for the oil cooler were touching and the chaffing caused a leak. Again, good thing it was covered because the labor to repair it was very extensive. Otherwise, 25K & loving it. Have yet to drive it in the snow, so I'm anxious whether or not it will be as much of a snow animal as my old 1998 A4 Quattro was--saved my butt in a snow storm more than a few times.
