2004 S4 Noise in wheelwell when turning!! Please help!

Anyone who has a B6 Audi S4, I need your help
I have a 2004 S4 and I bought it in August of 2004, and recently within the last 2 months, when you turn right and sometimes left you hear this noise, kind of like the wheel is catching a piece of plastic..
I've taken it into the dealer and they hear the noise. Then they told me they got into 2 other S4's that are on their lot and got the same noise to happen.
It seems to be temperature sensitive.. Sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesn't.. Sometimes loud, sometimes not.
I refuse to believe this is normal, so I'm looking for guidance. I will make a call to Audi customer service and complain as this is unacceptable to pay 50K for a car that makes odd noises.
If anyone has a 2004 S4, can you comment on this?
Can anyone help??
Thanks

Hey I have a 2004 S4 and it does that to. No idea what it is but I think its just the tires rubbing on the wheel well. I just put newer lower profile tires on it (pilot club sports) and it still rubbs. I highly doubt its anything to be a ***** over, but its prob bec the width and camber of the tire setup, and the fact that the turning radious is so sharp.
i picked up my 04 S4 and after a week of driving have notice this as well. it happens when turning right onto an incline going below 5mph it makes a humming noise. when that hum is heard if i turn left or reverse it'll continue to hum. i've also noticed that the left rear axel makes this noise as well. can't duplicate it though everytime like the front.
i was wondering have you inquired about this to the dealer or manufacturer? what is your tran type? manual, tip? my S4 is a manual. i spoke with the finance person at my audi dealer who drives and S4 also. however his 04 S4 is a tip and has not notice or heard of the noise.
any audi members out there ever heard or know of this?
any and all info is always greatly appreciated.

Yes I am having this same issue now, I found this thread in a search.
I see there was never any type of resolution.
I have the same thing either left or right going slow. It almost seems as if it is the all-wheel-drive doing it because of the speed? Have seen this in some SUV's I have had like my Hummer when I would cut it hard in one direction with the AWD.
Any one?

I think I had what your talkign about , it seems to affect most 04's the dealer fixed it by lubing up the front sway bar I dont think it is permanent but I havent heard it in the last 3 months so Im happy for now.
311....thanks.....I have service in 5K, so will have it checked out then. need a speaker replaced and the arm rest is also snapped, all from the prior owner, they said it will be covered in CPO. :-)
