End of 2 year lease and couldnt make it work with my 3 kids...good news is I found this car! Some impressions/comparisons:
-s4 actually faster...until about 3rd gear...then Porsche not by much. S4 is a rocket! Twisties different story...
-throttle response incredible for 4 door...One of the big sellers for me...very close to 911 in higher rpms...owners, this is best kept secret of this car!!!
-I wish there was tighter suspension upon engaging sport...
-not a fan of electronics...then again I'm a techno peasant.
-seats incredibly comfortable...way better than BMW. I'm 6'2 210
-gas mileage disappointing...I don't see anywhere near 22 blended...
-I haven't pushed any corners yet as I still feel like the engine will dump on the road...prob will take few months to get used to weight distribution...
-can fit my entire fam in my car...insane amount of room...why would anyone do a6? I used to have one...

Anyone in dfw area to recommend where to go for chip?

 

The S4 would do it for me too, all I'd need right there for the 4 door version. Check out this link for Audi upgrades tuned just for your car.

Ha! Very interesting. I bought a 2011 A6 last saturday and I actually test drove a 2012 S4 as well. Both used with very low miles. S4 was listed $1K more than A6. I decided to go with A6 because of it's roominess and thought it would be a better car for the family (wife and 2 kids). May be you should have posted this one week earlier and I may have bought the S4.

I was actually considering a used 911 as well, but ultimately, I would have needed to buy another car, so I decided against it. But I want to get a 911 in a few years. But like you said, the S4 is almost as fast or even faster than a 911 S, I wonder how much faster an M3 is than a 911. May be I should bag the idea of 911?
