Hey guys, I need to recharge my 2001 S4. Does it take 134a ? And where is the recharge line located? Much help is appreciated. Thanks.

 

It takes 134a. Both charge ports are located under the cowl on the passenger's side.

 

Which port do I plug the freon in to? Do I turn the A/C to full blast when I am charging? Thanks for your help.

Look at the hose that connects to the freon can, 134a service fittings are different on the high side and low sides, so it will only fit on one side.

 

Exactly, but if you are using the self-charge kit, hook it up to the low side (the only fitting you can connect to) and have the engine running with the a/c on. Slowly shake the can back and forth until the can feels empty, your done.

 

Thanks guys. I recharged my A/C thanks to everyones help and my A/C blows colder than a gold-digger in Vegas (NOW THAT"S COLD) ha ha. thanks guys.
