Default APR Chip

I have a 2002 S4 and had the APR programming done months ago. The problem is I can't feel any difference in the performance. I don't have any other upgrades except TBB and DVs. The car runs great, pulls strong, but when going back and forth between the programs I can't feel any difference in power. It runs likeit always had....a strong stockS4.

I dont' think there's a boost leak anywhere or anything wrong with the car as it continues to run strong as it has forthe 3 years I've owned it. Could it be the programming wasn't done right? How would I know? Could it be that I need either a Darintake or Exhaust to get the benefit out of the turbos?

If you hold in the cruise ctrl and the CEL flashes a bunch of times then it should be good.

Maybe your butt-dyno isnt working

When i first got my car i was unsure, but now i definitly notice a difference. Exhaust and darintake would help a little too

what are the programs on your car, plus if you are new at doing the cel flashing it easy to think you got it work but have not.

I turn the ignition on, without starting the car, hold the cruise control button in and the engine light starts flashing once for the standard program and then starts flashing twice for the other programming. I just release the cruise control button when it starts flashing twice and turn over the ignition. I believe I'm doing it right?

For me the single flash is APR 93 octane, then i hold it in again and double flash means its back in stock mode.

You can switch programs at any time too, when moving or not. Try releasing after the single flashes. My exhaust note changes slightly, the car is more responsive, and speed builds much faster through gears 2-3-4

Thanks. I'vedriven inboth modes a bunch of times. If there's a difference it's minor. I guess I'll chalk it up to that's all you get from APR without mods. From what I've read about GIAC....that may have been the better way to go.

GIAC is certainly a more agressive program, APR also cant be used with an MBC+TCD. I can live till stage 3
