Default ashtray

Does anybody know if an ashtray off a b5 a4 will fit my b5 s4? Currently I don't even have one, and I don't smoke, I'm just sick of s*** falling into the abyss behind there.

I'm pretty sure it will. My dad has a 2001 A4 and I have a 2001 S4, they both look identical. I would go for it, I don't think Audi would change the size between the two cars.

Yes, thats interchangeable. I hear you about the abyss thing haha but its easy to pop off the shifter and pull up the trim ring. so if u ever loose anyhting semi-important

My dads was the same way. Some paper got lodged in behind it so it wouldn't open. He ended up taking the radio and HVAC controls out and removed the paper. Its smooth and butter now.

Same here... well, at least not easily. I normally have to push the ashtray and bang on the side for it to pop out [:@]

yea in most cars its just a tight squeeze if you pop the shifter trim off then the ashtray moves real smooth, im thinking about grinding the bottom edge down so it hangs up less.
