What is the average maintenance cost for a B5 S4? I need to know what im in for. With the 50K warranty and without.
Also, would the CPO warranty cover just as much as the initial warranty?

 

Maintainace can be quite expensive. Call your local dealer and get a quote for 40k-major and 20k-minor. Those are the two higher priced maintainances. You may also want to get a ballpark on a timing belt and camshaft adjuster seals. The cpo is not nearly as good as the initial warranty. Alot of parts arent covered in the cpo. Especially interior stuff like trim and switchs.

 

It will most likely have more than 20K miles on it, havent seen one with less, so I wont have to worry about that service. The timing belt is around 60-70K correct? I havent hear about the camshaft adjuster seals before. I take it they are pretty pricey also. Im not able to get to a dealer for a while, what would be a ballpark price for each from what youve heard?

 

The minor services are every 20k miles and major services are every 40k miles. 60-70 is probably on the low end but right around ballpark for the t belt. I would also get the cam seals replaced at that time as there is alot of repeat labor in doing them and the timing belt.

 

Audi says T-Belt at around 100k. Most people do it around 90k, anything else is just pointless, cuz its not gonna break before then.
