Default B5 Cigarette Lighter Malfunction

Tell me why we only have one auxilary power outlet in our cars.. So i was switching the power outlet from my V1 to my tomtom so i can charge it for a bit and all of a sudden it sparked. Now it doesnt even work. Anyone know how to fix this? Could it be the fuse?

Fuse would be the first thing to check. Its annoying to have only one power source in the car, especially in that location. I use mine for my ipod transmitter 99% of the time, and phone the other 1%.

You should think about hardwiring your V1. I wired it to the fuse box, then ran it underneath the A pillar and headliner so it comes out to the right of the rearview mirror. Put it there inmy friends mercedes ML too but also added an inline switch to turn it on.off Seriously the perfect location, you almost cant tell its there from the front or side and its mounted high like V1 reccomends
