I know my B5 S4 has 250hp stock..and the B7 A4 3.2 has 255..but who would win in a race..would I have the advantage b/c of the twins..or would he oust me???

 

you would win! The 3.2 is listed by audi to be 0-60 in 6.7 seconds. I am 100% sure you would win in a race, what im less sure about is why you would win. Im guessing because of curb weight.

 

I think the "boost-factor"..gives me edge over the NA motor...

Just look at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, we are better in both, if ur worried get a chip and its completely over then

 

people put too much emphasis on peak hp. pay attention to the entire torque curve. two cars can have the same peak hp (rpm x torque) / 5252) but have different amounts of overall power.

The only reason the B5 S4 would win is the B7 3.2 is a f*****g tank!!! A lot heavier.
If that engine were placed in a B5 the 3.2 would probably win.

 

A lot of people do think the B5 S4 has a lot of power stock, which compared to a lot of other performance cars stock it really doesnt. Compare it to the 2.0T, only 50 more hp but it pulls so much harder. The S4 just has a bigger power band, it hits peak faster and all around has good power throughout the power band. The 2.0T and 3.2 are just peak, other than peak the power is a lot less.
