I recently bought a 2006 S4 with the Bose Sound system but have been very disappointed in the sound quality. The midrange and high notes are outstanding but it has almost no Base. Even with the base control pegged to the max it just washes out the low notes. Have been back to the dealer 3 times and they claim it is working "according to factory specs."

Has anyone else experienced this phenomena? Am trying to figure out if my unit has a problem or if the Bose unit just sucks.

 

I dont know if this works with b6 and b7 models.. but with the b5, you can turn off your radio. Once its off, hold the 5 button on your presets and turn on the power. It will bring you to an equalizer basically. It will display... 55555555. you can change these to suit your needs. I believe the numbr in the 4th and 8th spot are your bass. i believe i changed mine to 84678467. Try a search on audiworld for bose and youll prob find it.
