Default Considering and S4

I'm new to the Audi world and took my first test drive today! The BMW and Audi dealer are next door to each other and I went to BMW to test drive the new 335 and they had just sold the last one so I walked over to test drive the S4 and I was floored at the performance. I've had 3 BMW's including 335's and 528 and I have to say I was floored to see the performance out of the S4 today.

At any rate I have a few questions.

1. How do the leases compare vs. bmw? I don't see much information on Audiusa.com about payment calculator, maintenance, months, mileage, etc.

2. Do they offer corporate leases or financing?

3. Should I wait for the 2013's? I dont see any real changes that makes me think I should wait.

The dealer only had 1 in stock so I would have to order one if I wanted one.

Thanks in advance for the feedback, I've been watching youtube videos of the S4 and this vehicle seems to outperform the 335 which is the vehicle I was comparing it to.

Well I can't answer your questions about the leasing, I can tell you that I am pretty sure if you order it will be a 2013 that you will get. My suggestion would be, if you are interested in the 2012 to either let the dealer know and he can shop one from another dealer, or start looking around and see what other dealers have them in stock. I have been reading a lot lately that the S4 inventory is pretty high right now, so it should be doable. Good luck.

I spoke to the dealer let yesterday evening on the phone and he said he will start searching for the color and rim package I want on Monday. When he calls me back I'm gonna ask him about the 2013's.

Default Switched from 335i to 2012 S4

I have driven BMW's the last 10 years including a 2007 335i.

I was looking at new F30 335i but switched over to an Audi S4.

First and foremost--performance. The 335i cannot match the Audi S4. At least not stock vs. stock. The S4 is closer to M3.

Style--the new F30 335i is very close in styling to the 5 series. In fact, on the lot they are tough to distinguish. It seems the 7, 5, and 3 are just different sizes of the same car. Also, the 335i is indistinguishable from a 328i. All the subtle differences that seperated the entry 3 from the 335i have largely been removed. Also, the Audi styling is far more cutting edge, modern, tech, and dare I say it "German".

Price--BMW has turned gouging on options into an art. While the base 335i is just $43K and the S4 is $47K--by the time you add the standard options everyone wants--nav, sports, blue tooth etc. The 335i ends up a few thousand more than the S4 and thats without X drive (the S4 comes standard with Quattro).

Turbos--if you had a 335i with the twin turbo (07-09) you will find the single turbo on the F30 to have more lag and not be as smooth.

2012 S4 vs 2013--I actually prefer the look of 2012 (no technical differences). The 2013 just has slightly different grill, LED head and taillights). Its really just a refresh...its not a new model.

That will hit in 2015.

After shopping 335i vs S4 I realized you get MORE for LESS.

BMW has lost its way on style and price (how many of the new 7s and 6s do you see--they are all over $110,000). Crazy.

At least for now.
