Coolant Change DIY?

I've been searching and I'm not having any luck? Any one know of a DIY for a B5 Audi S4 2.7t? I really need to know is if a 50/50 mix is ok? And more importantly how much coolant fluids does our system hold?

Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

I don't think the s4 is different than the A4 in that regard but I don't know for sure. In my A4 it calls for 3 quarts of Pentosin (G12) coolant, and the rest water (basically a 50/50 mix). Most likely the S4 is the same.

Also where do I drain the coolant out?

50/50 mix. Just did mine, it is pretty easy. If you go under the car, just about directly behind the passenger fog light there is a big hose with a clamp on it, one that fits in the grooves and pop that off and back the hose off, it drains pretty quick from there. Then I ran some water through the system to clean it out a couple times and filled it back up. Hope that helps

Did mine last week and got a facial from my S.

The mixture IS a 50/50 mix, but be sure you utilize G12 Pentosin coolant. It will consume up to 3 gallons of it, so you'll need two 1.5g bottles.

Also, to flush the coolant system, I did the following:

Park car on my slanted hill driveway, with garage running flat.
Have car poke out of garage enough so there is clearence for you to get underneath the S.
Remove lower pass grill by foglights
Remove underbelly
Reach up between radiator and engine, and look for huge pipe connecting radiator to engine
Remove clasp for coolant sensor
Pull coolant sensor out
Coolant is flushed

Remember...DO NOT DO IT WHEN ENGINE IS STILL HOT and UNCAP COOLANT CAP.

So 3 Gallons of Pentosin mixed equally with 3 gallons of water..?

or 1.5 of each?

3 quarts of Pentosin, and the rest water - try 3 gallons and you'll end up blowing about $120 on coolant and end up with most of it on the floor of the garage.
