Dashboard dimmer switch
 

I just bought a 2000 S4. I read the fricking manual. I don't see it. I searched these forums, I don't see it. Is there a dashboard light dimmer switch. The dash lights seem a wee bit dim and I want to turn them brighter. And I can't find a dimmer switch... Or am I just being a wee bit dim?

It's the post on the right inside the cluster.

Alright. I feel dumb. I went and looked at the manual again and it only says one line buried in the text that says "odometer lighting" as a function of the left stalk that controls the clock ????

Hey, It happens!
The Manual is crap, I cant even figure out proper maitenance intervals and what should be done.

Your next maintenance is at 60K. Start your savings and get ready to shell out big bucks for the timing belt replacement when that service comes up!

After10+ years of 944/951 ownership nothing can shock me as far as timing belts!
Is the 2.7T an "interference" engine?
