Default ddm ballast install

hey guys...have run into a block here. trying to install my ddm 55 watt ballast upgrades. everything thing seems simply enough, except for the power supply.... i'm not sure as to what to do with the plug that i took out of the oem ballast, and as to how to wire up the new one?? i've noticed three plugs that are behind the light housing, the bottom being red, the middle black and the top is black as well... it looks as though the two bottom plugs would fit in the ballast plug, is that what i wire it to? and which one? do i need to cut into the housing to run that plug through?

ok...figured it out. only took the better part of a day..lol. so. had to buy a 9006 pig tail wiring harness to addapt to the ballast. for those of you out there looking at doing this install, be sure to have the harness when purchasing the ballast kit. after i figured that out, bought some wire couplings and spliced the two ends together. the second light literally took me 20 minutes to take appart, install the ballast and have it back together. so... important note.. be sure to have the proper tools for the job, and save yourself 4 trips to the hardware store.

looks great! quite a bit brighter than the originals. definitely puts the light to the ground and adds distance much more effectively. i think the bulb itself isn't the greatest, i would imagine a piaa or philips bulb would make it all the better, but i'm content with what the bulb produces currently... the kit itself with the ballast and bulbs are cheaper than one phillips xenon anyways....may look into some new bulbs next year. running 6k. they do have a tinge of blue to them, but nothing too obnoxious, i'm glad i didn't roll with the 8k. if your interested in making your car stand out a little more, i suggest doing the upgrade, it's cheap, and has a nice sense of gratification every time you turn on your lights.

I got you message sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. It is good to hear that you figured it out. That harness makes a world of a difference. Did you go 5000K?

went with the 6k. been running into an issue with them as of late. when i turn on the lights, sometimes only one will fire up... then its a bitch to get the other one to light up as well... sometimes they just won't turn on period. talked to ddm today actually... turns out i need an error code eliminator. ordered those today, of course they are back ordered, so i may not see them till later next week. hopefully that solves the problem.
