what you need to do is get a flush at the local shop, it is like 40 dollars or less. Then i go with 5w-40 when i change it any time and i use amsoil. never had a problem with it at all.

correct me if i am wrong but a thicker oil silences engine noise. like 5 30 is thinner than 10 30..

I'm with TKneeds, 0w40 Mobil 1 is the way to go.

The turbo oil inlets are a known flaw in the S4...they're too small. I'd recommend a lighter weight oil unless you live in Phoenix or somewhere else where it's like 120 degrees. If you live anywhere with cooler temperatures, go with the 0w40.

Just my .02

thicker oil does not quite sounds....and on a turbo car, you are better off with a lighter oil since it will recirculate to the turbos more easily, and will cool off faster, with less build up....prolonging engine life
