i have. i didnt want to deal with removing the slave cylinder and bleeding it. if i could do it over, id do it the other way just to experience it.. but i didnt think it was too hard. a lot of people complain about the trans/engine bolts, they are a little tight to get to but not to bad.. i think i had it out in 6 hrs.. back together like in 7 or so...

Isn't the labor to replace the turbos on the 2.7t rated at like 40 hours or something? If you got it back out and in in under 20, and theres no way k04 installation takes 20 hours... whats that all about?

i just got quoted 14.2 hours to pull+install engine by Achtuning here in WA. i figure the ko4 turbos shouldnt take more than 2-3 hours to install since there direct bolt on, so 17 hours total maybe? just FYI they wanted $1800 for labor

i think where ever you're goings bending you over the table bud..

20.2 hrs labor to replace the turbos per alldata... it took me 6 to get it out (the engine) and 7 or so to get it in. 20.2 - 13(6+7) equals 7.2 hrs to fool with my clutch, flywheel, RS6 turbos, piping and what-not.. and im sure i took longer than 7.2, kinda took my time and checked, rechecked and all that crap..

So you did the RS6 turbos? I've been looking for information concerning the differences between the k04 upgrade and the RS6 upgrade. is the spool time huge on those? I can't find any information about the difference between them other than peak power. I would like to see flow charts, spool times, physical dimensions etc.

I don't actually take my car to a mech, I do all my own work. I just see constantly on here that people get quoted on 40 hours and that just seems like madness.
