Fixing/Replacing window regulator
 

Ok, so I was just looking up prices for a new window regulator, and they're getting expensive as hell these days (probably because they break on every single B5 chassis ever produced, including A4s, S4s and even Passats, ask me how I know). The last time I bought one it was 100 bucks from Autohaus which I thought was high, now it's 160!!! I checked ebay and they have regulator repair kits for only $22, has anyone ever tried these kits??

nope.. but funny you mentioned them as problems. one of my best friends wife has a 2001 A4 and he just called me about the same problem.. ill call shokan tomorrow and see what theyve got'em for ..

let me know if they're cheaper, i'd definitely like to replace the whole thing if i can find one at a reasonable price. autohausaz.com used to be the cheapest for OEM parts, but that was a few years ago. i suppose i should do some more shopping around
