Default Front end rattle 2001 S4 Avant

I've noticed by 2001 S4 Avant has developed a bit of a rattle in the front suspension. It only occurs when I go over rough patches, but its definitely noticable especially because I'm used to the rock solid nature of the car (it still sounds better than the typical Outback ). The car tracks fine, and there appears to be no unusual play in the suspension or steering. The car has 45k miles on it and this is the first problem I've encountered, so I am not well versed in the "usual suspects". Any tips?

PS: First post...great site!

If you only have 45K on the car they should be covered under warrenty. There are no cheap Audi parts BTW.

However if you're doing them yourself you may want to consider: http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shar...ronttierodends

And welcome to the forum.

yea, cheap is a relative term.

Sadly, 4 years has come and gone, as has the warranty
