Hey. Im driving a 2005 v8 s4 and Im getting a red, low oil pressure warning. Oil level is ok and I just changed the oil 3 weeks ago (10w40 synth). The warning comes on when I hit 2000 rpm and stays on permanently. Im hoping its just a faulty sensor. My problem is I cant locate the oil sender. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Any reply to this, as my 2004 S4 just started the same thing this morning.

 

Its on the back of the oil filter. Looks like a bolt with one wire coming out of it.Not the easiest thing to get at but the repair was fairly easy. Good luck.

The mechanic found it and the wire was broken, repoaired and all good
