I am looking at purchasing a 2000 Audi S4 quattro in relatively good condition. The mileage is at 137,000. The car has had timing belt and water pump replaced but i am concerned about the high mileage. Would this be worth paying 7K?

 

I would say yes if you can prove that belt and pump have been serviced recently. Also if the turbos arent making any whine or dentist drill sound..I would say 7k is good.

 

T belt and associated maintance every 75k miles so it should be due for a second round sometime....

$7000 is pretty cheap though, treat her well and shell keep goin well past 200k miles. The joke is that these cars are just getting broken in at 100k, especially with the number of cars that dont go stage 3 untill nearly 100k or later

 

Agreeed. You wouldn't even be able to tell I'm just past 155,xxx miles. Man I love Audis galvanized bodies!
