ok, the dealer finally liked to replace the timing belt for me before I paid. but they are still rejecting to replace the water pump for me?
so i am wondering how much to change the water pump? do you guys think it's neccessary to replace the water pump for a 95000kms S4?

yea if they dont do it at the same time its going to be a really expensive fix because you have to go through the whole same process of removing the bumper and all that what not. if you cant get them to give in id just buy a water pump, which isnt too expensive itself, and ask them if they can just put it on at the same time and give them like a one hour labor charge for the "extra trouble".

 

yeah that's what I thought.

but the dealer was really frim and they are only going to replace the belt for me( since I went there in last two weeksand asked them to replace the WP and TB for me). SO my concern is when we are saying replace timing belt does that mean to replace the onlybelt itself? I think there are lots of parts associated with replacing TB, am i right? But I doubt that the dealer is most likely to replace the belt only. And they are going to do it in their own bodyshop. I would like to pay them extra for puting the new WP in, but that is it? what other things need to be done in order to say the TB has been replaced?
