How much would FAST INTENTIONS custom exhaust cost?
I happened to call them today, about my (early) 2005 B6, and spoke to Danny for a while... He was really helpful, and walked me through all their offerings.
The cat-back resonated exhaust is normally $1150, but it's "on sale" for $950. No idea how long that price will last. The downpipes are $1550, "on sale" for $1300, and if bought together with the exhaust, Danny offered to give them to me for $1200. Installation, at Fast Intentions, would be $80 for cat-back or $325 for the whole full-back system. The prices he quoted me may or may not be the standard, so your results may vary... I figured I would be looking at $2475 plus CA tax (950+1200+325).
Danny said that the cat-back exhaust exhaust is good for 8 rwhp and 10 ft-lb, while the full-back setup nets you 30 rwhp and 35 ft-lb. And that's for the X-pipe setup. There's an H-pipe setup that is louder and makes trivially less power. I was interested in a quieter setup, so I wasn't interested in the H-pipe. The X-pipe and H-pipe balance the air pressure in the two exhaust lines, which is good for maximizing power. Apparently the X-pipe does a better job balancing the air pressure; the H-pipe apparently makes it louder.
Interestingly, Danny said if you buy both the cat-back exhaust and the downpipes at the same time, Fast Intentions can build the junction at full 2.5 inch diameter. Otherwise, they neck down the cat-back to fit the OEM exhaust. So if you ever think you'll go full-back, you may as well bite the bullet and go for it up front...
Attached are some photos he send me... The H-pipe has the pipe that goes straight across; the X-pipe has the two pipes merging and then diverting again. The two pictures of the full-back setup are of the H-pipe setup. The H-pipe is the bottom of the two, and the left one of the two in the comparison photos.
Hope my "first post" helps...

Ashton... so I take it you are going this route?
Do me a favor and take some good sound clips of before and after if you could.
I'd definitely prefer the X pipe setup. I love the V-8 rumble, but I also do quite a bit of business in my car.. concalls and such.
The least amount of "cab drone" would be best for me.
Thanks for the post!!

I have an Jeep SRT-8 and the cabin noise is pretty loud compared to the 2007 Corvette. It always causes me to wonder if people who are on the phone with me are hearingthe exhaust rumble. Every time I ask they say they don't hear it, or barely hear it,but then again it's bluetooth built into the car, so that might have some difference compared to a cell phone or aftermarket microphone...

I love this exhaust if i wasnt against paying an arm and a leg for exhaust i would buy this one. However for 1/4 the price i would rather make my own one off exhuast.
Im currently running Piggies, straight to end of downpipes into 3inch then finishing with the OEM rear muffler.

I'm still deciding which exhaust to go with... I first thought I liked the Neuspeed cat-back only setup..
Here it is on a B7: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NLZoKcGQp4
Now, I'm considering the Fast Intentions...
Quietest, cheapest, least performance-enhancing way to go is cat-back only:
Cat Back only: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2-lJlAsdDM
Cat Back only: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NF9dsNTaAzM
Or, for twice as much, you can get the full back setup, which actually boost the output:
Fullback: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMqMeWA9nCw
B6 with fullback: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zzjgpa_o0Fk
B6 with fullback: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENVwLlOZ-d4
B6 with fullback: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjURjAa9wNU
Or, if you really want it EVEN louder, you can go non-resonated, rather than resonated:
B6 fullback, non-resonated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT-RxTzPnK8
B6 fullback, non-res, H-Pipe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1GaXC7ChLw
(the non-resonated isn't really anymore powerful (from what I'm told), it's just louder. The H-Pipe is the *older* style, louder and less powerful than the X-pipe setup...)
And, finally, there's whatever this guy got (which I really want to avoid...):
Fast Intentions, no further description: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPpWa3Y3vww ...This is exactly what I DON'T want my car to sound like... sheesh...
So... still deciding... If there's anyone in southern California who has a Fast Intentions setup, I'd love to hear from you. Or better yet, I'd love to hear your car.

Other than the drunken monkey shooting the film, the first one of the full back is exactly what I would want. I had a Hemi truck with Flowmaster cat back and it was loud in the cab.The shot at 70 with the windows up was nice... no noise, but you know folks can hear the "V8 rumble" outside.
Very sweet. Definitely hear it in person though.. I had a guy drive up from 50 miles away to hear my truck so he could figure out whether or not to go with the same setup.
TK... are you the one who is fab'n up 2 different exhausts? Let me know how that goes.. no doubt you could fab up your own setup. I would still get the DP's from somebody else though.

Just got the system installed on Friday, and I've put about 125 miles on it so far... Hummm... I'm still letting the mufflers heat up and break in, but at this point there's an unacceptable drone between 1200 and 1800 RPMs. Sure, sure, I keep it about 3000 all the time, except every time i start from a stop, and I live in LA, so there's no shortage of stopsigns/lights and traffic.
Anybody have any idea how long it'll take to break in? I'm doing another 100 miles today, so we'll see
Otherwise, I'll have a very gently used system for sale shortly
