Default interesting smell

so i just recently picket up a 2001.5 s4. i drove it back to missouri from ohio, and when i got it home i realized it smelled like plastic not burning reeking plastic just plastic. the next morning the smell continued. i am woundering if it is something i need to be concerned about/ what may be caussing it.

also, when i intally was looking at the car the second turbo wasnt spolling well it seemed b/c of a bad mafc. it got replaced at spooled fine for a while but ocationally after 3,000 rpm it wont spool(however it always comes back after a few min and pulls fine) the car is apr chipped and am hoping it is jsut an issue with the chip or i am messing up the ajustment with the cc toggle thing.

appreciate the help

having a chip should not affect just one turbo, they are not independent....most likely, you have a leak on the hot side of your turbo for it to not be spooling at times....

burning smells can be any millions of things...has the timing belt been done? make sure heat shields are ok between the exhaust manifold and air box, if they are missing, a long trip may cause enough heat to cause some melting of the plastic air box. my guess is its one of your belts wearing badly....
