I'm not new to audiforums, but this will be my first post in the s-line forum. A few weeks ago I bought an '01 santorin blue tip S4, white alcantara interior, all stock except for an apexi turbo timer & back-up sensors. I'm very happy with it but I think to be satisfied I'm gonna need to upgrade a few things. Here's the list I've put together so far. Feel free to suggest things I'm missing or changes you would make.


APR chip w/emcs
giac tip chip
710n dv's
APR bi-pipe
darintake
ECS timing belt kit
greedspeed snub mount


that's pretty much all i've got. i don't want to dump several thousands into the car, but i'm comfortable with 2-3k. i did the tb on my old A4 2.8l and i imagine the s4 is very similar. so i think i can handle installing everything on my own except the chips, i'll leave that to the shop

 

The chips do have to be done by the companies. I would say better dv's like baily's. Also a key thing that your missing is a stronger clutch, haha that is clutch to getting your new found power to the ground. Other than that, that sounds like you have the basics for a good stage 2 car.

 

Dear god I am an idiot disregard the clutch thing, I completely just read over the fact that your car is tip. I feel sorry for you.

 

EDIT: yea i was wondering if maybe there was some other clutch i wasn't aware of :/

i wanted to get the auto tranny, this is my DD and i do a LOT of stop light driving to work and school...i figure as long as i keep stock K03 turbos, any other mods the tip tranny should be able to handle
