Default NEW KO4 OIL LEEK, I'm afraid!

HI,

I've bought KO4 turbos on ECS tuning for my B5 S4...
The big problem... the left one works nice, but the right one let a huge lot of oil going on the SMIC and the exhaust... this happens fromthe first time we run the engine on with new KO4 !

Correctly assembled... the mecanician said it is a faulty turbo... !

Do someone knows something about new KO4 with a problem like this???

And... what about waranty in this case?

Thanks

well, since the turbos cost you a lot $$$$$, so the best you can do is return it back and asked them get a new set for you. BUt I am thinking you have to pay double labours at this time...(((((

There is a 1 year warranty from Borg Warrner. Getnew ones. Also, I hear there was a bad batch of k04's in sept- november of last year. Did you buys your around then??
Only thing labor is gonna kill you, but at least you wont have to pull the motor if just replacing the turbo's.

send it back...get new ones...maybe have the shop you had it done it cut you a deal, since it may have been something they did as well. there is no way they can prove they didnt do it, so stick it on them to fix the thing, cuz you should not have to pay for labor 2 times!

Hi !

Thanks mates for your help... I feel better !

So you think they don't have to pull the motor to change turbos ?

I live in New Caledonia, a french Iland near australia... so yes labor is going to cost me... but sending it back is going to be expensive too !!

I' m happy... grrrrr....

Sending you photos of my S4 soon... I don't know how to do for the moment...

See you

I've heard of them being pulled without taking the engine out.

Wait so if you can do that why do you have to pull it to do the upgrade?

GL with everything.
