new noob q? bank1 and bank2
 

hey guys wich side does audi consider bank1 and bank2 of the engine to be on i think bank one is on the passenger side and bank 2 is on the drivers side correct me if im wrong havent purchased bently manual yet

the reason i ask is im getting a trouble code p1347 for cam/crank sensor bank2 out of sequence

Wow lets hope thats not your problem because I got that code and it was when I did my tb job and I was off half a tooth. Anywho the sensor is on the back of the engine driver side to the left of the coolant expansion tank looking at the engine from the front. To get the sensor off you will have to undo the line from the tank and put a stopper on the line where it t's and catch the fluid from the tank.

thanks for the reply yeah i have a feeling my cam timing is slighltly off i had to replace the tensioner gaskets and after i did i started getting the code not sure how it jumped time as i was super carful in marking the chain and the cam gears and lining everything back up then rotating the engine manually oh well guess ill be tearing everything back down this weekend and checking it again
