street racing is not wise for starters, fuel octane boosters can damage the catalyst "if you have one on?" some have silicon based products in them which can block the catalyst so always read the small print and go use the track for racing

use it only in emergency, like all the fuel available is regular, then use it. for racing just buy recing fuel.

i guess this is along the same lines but... besides the octane level of fuel you pump at a gas station... how do we really know we are putting the octane of fuel in our cars that it says? is there really any way to test it? just curious, when you see a gas station getting refilled with its fuel from a truck... i only see one hole in the ground and only one hose coming from the truck? kinda just made me think... know what i mean?

if its stupid, flame on!!!

Heh, I always wondered that and just figured that each type of gas gets a different truck delivery. Most stations have many holes in the ground near the pumps.

well i'm not to big of a fan of street racing... you may not be endangering yourself as you may be someone else on the road or on the sidewalk or something. however, its all about the types of octane boosters, and your setup.
