Yah, Mobil 1 is fully synthetic. There are lots of folks around here that use it.

If you're buying your oil at an auto parts store, there's a good chance you're paying more for it than you have to. Try Walmart. Prices might be higher/lower depending on where you live, but i can almost guarantee they're going to be cheaper than the competition.

 

well list we sell Elf for about 65.

I don't know what Cost is. we are a Bosch service station (Audi,VW,BMW,Benz,Porsche) I believe list for the Elf is between 8-10 dollars a liter. I don't even know quarts anymore after dealing with Elf and Total in general.

 

Man that's expensive. Do you think Elf is really worth twice the price of Mobil?

I think you can find it online and maybe save some money, like $6-$7, not sure if it's worth it after shipping though

 

I think its worth it in the way were I don't want to deal with the issue of bringing mobil into a Bosch station that uses Elf and Total lubricants...haha, you know. the boss might not be too pleased.

I have used mobile, great oil it held very well. but with the elf I checked my oil level about 4,500 mi in and the oil was a mild amber color. it is a very light amber when new. I was very impressed with that.
