pressing matterS8 2008\2009 car shut down at a high speed

Firstly, I wish to brief you of my five incidents where two of them where near death experiences while driving my S8. I will start of with the most significant one that happened earlier in June. I was driving at a speed of 140 km/h when the car completely turned off! To my panic I slammed the brakes but as you are well aware the brakes will not respond fully due to the car being off, in addition to that and also as you are aware the steering wheel lost its power . The car then turned on after a few seconds and repeatedly lost and gained power around 3-4 times.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Well being that new get it back to the dealer asap. It could be an electronic glitch, or fuel pump cutting off, plus other things but none that should be happing to your car ! Most likely a computer thing.

I would have driven it directly to the Audi shop. That's too dangerous to be driving it around like that.
Why do you call it a 2008/2009? Do you not know what years it is?

This thread is sketchy...

That, and the fact that the OP has only one post bashing audi either makes him a moron or an ass. Take it to the dealer genius.

:) yes i did six times , they refused my request to replace my car after the third time , even i contacted the headquarters audi ag they did not act in my case, plus before i collected the car for the forth time i requested an official letter from AUDI regional office stating that the car been fix and this incident will never happen again and the car is in perfect condition , i received the letter on the third of sep imagine on the 20th of sep the incident happened again , it went for the service for another 2 months , !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you please explain more about the lemon law :)

Where are you located?

auditech79 12-10-2009 12:01 AM

The lemon law depends on what state you are in, but in most states if a shop attemps a repair 3 times and hasn't resolved the issue you can get another car of equal value or money for the blue book value. You can check with your state and local laws pretty easilly on the internet.
