Default Road Trip

Hey Guys, i know none of you know me. but i just thought id stop by and ask a question or 2. next weekend on the 6th i have to drive my 01 s4 1,500 miles! i dont know how i feel about it. im very excited and in the back of my mind a little worried. she's never let me down before, what worries me is the trip is only 2 days long 13 hours of driving on day one and 11 hours of driving on day 2 she's only got 50,000 miles on her, no leaks, shes only seen 93 oct. or higher fule. im changing the oil/ filter the day before we leave. and bringing some extra oil. full size spare is like new and ready if needed. so iv got a cuple questions
1) has anyone ever put their baby through somthing like this?
2) is one of those temparary clear bras really worth it?
3) anything else i should bring or watch out for?
4) any tips on audi's and long trips?
Thank you

Oyeah she is straight stock

Right here! http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...albumId=952545 Got vids too!

The only diff was I had R1 dvs, K&N, straight pipe, 115k(91oct) miles, new timing belt on my stock(ECU) 2k S4. Be sure to wax to reduce wind resistance. Check all fluids. My best mpg was 30, average high 28mpg w/ +400lbs from passengers and luggage, in the summer heat.

I worried too.....but even if I had just bought a brand new car, I'd still would have worried. Just plan for anything and DO IT!

Funny! I have gotten my 300SD up to 125mph, after many miles of full throttle. I and an old time benz mech. rebuilt it. Thing is a tank! You should see my S4 vids showing just how bad I beat the **** out of my cars......And the worst is this damn O2 bank 1 and 2 CEL, but rarely comes on. Waiting on piggies to fix it.

Took mine on an 11.5 hr road trip from NH to OH. She made it swimmingly in chipped mode, and I'd do it again. In fact, I probably will do it again.

Just make sure she's in good running order when you leave... and let her cool down before you shut her off.

I got back from my trip it turned out to be 1620 miles. the only one thing that went wrong was the second night when we walked out of our hotel, my front right tire was flat! there was 500 more miles to go! didnt need the spare, there was a gas station across the street i filled it with air, it held for the time being, drove 30 miles, rest stop checked it. was all good. drove 375 more miles with no problem went to get gas, surpisingly the tire only lost a little bit of air. got gas filled the tire up drove home.

within the next week i will get it fixed.
Hey, for 1620 miles in 2 days, a little air leak in one tire. no sweat. no problem. alot of fun.

Alot of worry for nothing.
