S4 AFTERMARKET NAV - DO ANY LOOK OEM?
Since the B5 s4 came out, I've owned 6 different ones, all modified to different degrees.I just got another one and am faced with the same dilemma.... no DVD Nav! I've had the cd nav in other examples of the S4 and it really wasn't impressive.
It really does suck that there are no aftermarket units that look at home in the dash of these cars.
I looked into the Nav Plus solution but is seems like a ton of work and a bit of voodoo is needed to get it fully operational. Plus, it doesn't seem as hip as my other cars' Nav systems.
The car in question is a 2002 S4 w/o factory nav.
If anyone has a solution that doesn't look like a stuffed a dash kit in, please share!
Thanks in advance!!

Search under 2ks4, there is a stock audi nav that fits in nearly perfectly with an oem look. It comes form an a6 or something. Anyway he also just had his car totaled and is selling it, you could contact him to see if it has sold yet.
Edit: oh nvm i guess thats the nav plus

Thanks HPADDICT, but you are right....That's what I was referring to by Nav+
I'm looking for an aftermarket that looks like it was born there.
Thanks for the help!
i have a pioneer AVIC d3 and it looks great, you can choose or your own button color illumination, choose backgrounds, and it has a great nav system and its all common sense to use, it didn't take me any time to figure out the full potential of the unit. and it'll make your rides stereo system much better and give you control over all spectrums of sound. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...n-Dash/AVIC-D3 and its less than 1k i got mine for around 700 i believe and its much better than the stock audi nav system that was in there before.
yeah i agree with auditamerthe D3 is nice on the dash just make sure you get a pro to put some nice trim around it. I bet you could get something that matches the trim of the car.
Yea for factory u need to go with the RNS-d or RNS-E systems typically out of A6's. as for aftermarket just stick with whichever one you want and spend some extra attention on the trim, there is a couple double din dash kits out there now. if u werent reall worried about price i would reccomend a Pioneer Avic Z series. Seen them from 1500-2700 depending on used or new and where u find it i.e. ebay, retail store, local shop.
