Let's do the math...

Cheap A4... $5000
S4 engine with harness intake turbos downpipes etc.. 2500
S4 6 speed tranmission 1200(used) 2000(reman)
Shifter box and rods 150
Front axles, rear diff and prop shaft 500

Right now your at 9350.00 and you still don't have the S4 brakes, the S4 interior, and you need alot of assembly time...

You want an S4, then wait for one to pop up either high miles or blown motor or even wrecked.

did you not read that I am saving the money up?

I wont have the $5,000 for about 3 months

and I think I am going to go the easier rout and get a 2.8l 5 speed A4 and supercharge it, you can get the PES supercharger for about $3k

I am a very impatient person when it comes to buying things I want, I just cant wait, it will be hard for a couple months to save up he $5k, but I figured buy an A4 and enjoy it whilest saving up more for the upgrade parts

this setup would cost around $5000
as I said in the above post I now plan on a 2.8A4 and a PES supercharger

can you still upgrade to the S4 6 speed transmission without the S4 engine, and would you get any noticeable performance?
