Help,
I own a 2005 A8 with 42k miles I love the car but am thinking about replacing it with a more performance orientated car.
The budget will allow for either a new 2009 S6 (or low mileage 2008) or a 2007 20 - 30 k miles S8.
If anyone can give advice based on experience or involment with these two cars I would appreciated it. Please, no opinions without merit.

i own neither of those cars but my dad has an 08 S6 and its a blast to drive, he has owned a lexus and mercedes benz prior and the audi is by far the best car. the s8 will be larger and not handle as well but thats obvious because its a much larger and heavier car. i have ridden in an s8 and its a nice car no matter what seat your in. it also is no slouch its fast for its size. i guess you have to figure out if you want the smaller s6 or the larger s8. either car wont disappoint you

 

Experience doesn't matter much at this point, it's more dependent on what sized car you want. The differences in performance are obvious.
