stage 3 giac?
Hey guys I have a bone stock 2002 s4. I want to get a chip I see a used stage 3 for 300 bucks would it be worth buying for that cheap and just holding on to it till my car is upgraded enough to run it or should I just pass on it? Thanks in advance for any tips!

seems like a worthwhile investment. you will need to verify with the seller exactly what supporting mods the tune is set for. some definitions of "stage 3" are a bit more subjective than others. you may find that the cost of getting your car prepared to accept the chip is pretty prohibitive ($7-10K for big turbos and installation for instance).
even if you pick it up, and life happens, and you don't get around to getting your car properly prepared for it, you can always re-sell it.

if you want to go stage three you should probably get a custom tune instead of an "over the counter" tune. Tunes like GIAC, MTM and APR are good enough, but out dated and restrictive. The tuning world has come a very long way since those chips were created. you'll be much happier and your car will run much, much smoother with a newer, custom tune.
