you would also have to take into mind the year of the g35. every year so far they have upped the power of the cars. But having driven both cars... i would have to say the g35. (in stock form) atleast if the g35 is a 2006

 

How much hp does the 06 g35 have? i know the older ones had 280 right?

 

just shy of 300, they're at 298 now. but the 04's only had like 260

 

what do the weigh?

 

I guess its all driver skill.. I know the S4 is heavier, but I've taken a g35.
My s4 is bone stock too - but i'm sure w/ a better driver things couldve turned out the other way..

also, like i said it could all depend on the year there is a 40 hp range in there... also they changed the gearing around a little bit. Plus the Tip tronics have LESS power at the flywheel as well as an increased drivetrain loss. (btw you can tell if its a tip or a manual easily by looking at the brakes brembo brakes = manual, regular factory boring looking brakes = tip)

I believe that in 04 they upped it to 298.... but that may have been 05

 

I do think the latest G35 is close to 300hp...that being said - I'm not sure what I have run against (however I haven't run one recently) - but with my chipped 01 Avant I have literally toyed with G35s - being able to pull on them at will - rolling along and from a stop. A point of note - I also have beaten G35s off the line in my 330ZHP - not by much but always ahead...and I feel that my S4 - even in stock mode (when I had the APR chip - set to stock) was as fast - if not faster- then the BMW.

 

well i know for a fact that the newer models have 298 hp... i just cant remember if they changed in 04 or 05
