Techs help!!!

Ok, i had a RS4 clutch put in my car along wiht a new slave and master, got the clutch from AWE. I have good pedal pressure and the pedal goes all the way up when i let off of it. Any time i shift over 40k the RPM's will keep going up for a second and then fall down normaly. The clutch grabs about half way up, not right off thefloor.

I dont think the tech who put it did a job.The clutch came with directions on how to set it with the springs and all. I think he just put it in without setting the springs.

So what i want to know is should i bring it to audi and get it reinstalled? I have put 400 mil on it so far.

If you put the car in 6th at a low RPM and get into it ( EG: 6th at 1200 RPM ) will the tach flare up, or will the car hold gear.

Also, you should not be power shifting a new clutch for the first 500-1000 miles. Did he machine the flywheel ( do they do that in these cars? ).

The car holds gear. I am not beating on it but now that there is about 400 miles on it i am giving it throttle in the gear, but im not shifiting hard.

If you shift at high RPMS during a clutch break in, you can easily glaze the flywheel. Much like braking very hard with new pads and rotors.

If you accelerate, let off the throttle, clutch, shift, release clutch, and apply throttle and the tach raises up, then grabs. I would suspect there is a problem.
