Default Track events

I used to own Porsches, and go to LimeRock to get my jollies. I now own an S4 with a Giac. Are there any track events in CT, or the NorthEast for Audis?. Do the cars need to get "certified" like the Porsches: steel brake lines, fire extinguishers, track inspections? Can you run a non-mod car safely or do you need to tune the suspension and get special tires? Are the rotors subject to warping?
Thanks for any input.

well ud prolly want to redo ur suspension and brakes and everything if ur gonna stand a chance, most people would have thier cars tuned to prefection, with lists of mods. Racing with stock brakes wouldnt be advised, most likely will warp from the harsh and last second braking

Man, this site is really disappointing. Guess I'll go back to the PCA.

Haven't looked into it. I used to go with the PCA (Porsche Club of America) when they rented out the track. I suppose they do but there has to be some sort of supervision, and certification of cars before they let anyone on the track, or it would be mayhem!!!

Here is an article by motor trend about open track days. it includes a list of sites that have events listed. One is PCA so go figure. I live in CA and around here and in Nevada there are lots of open track days. U can just type it in to Yahoo and include the state or even call the local track and ask them if they host any, most tracks do so they can make alot more money since races aren't that often at most tracks.
