trading 04 A4 1.8T for 00 S4!?!?!?
Hello! Ive been a member since Feb. when i got my 04 1.8T, love it! But like every other warm blooded man... im not satisfied with what i have!!! I have found a '00 S4 75,000miles, MT, black on black (sexy) for $14,900. My concern is that this is very cheap for what ive seen... actually the cheapest i have ever seen!!! I am wondering, short of asking and trusting the NON-Audi dealer, how can i tell if the timing belt and other 60,000+ maint. has been done. My first mission upon buying this car is taking ti it Audi and having the timing belt changed (if it hasnt been)... but i'd rather have a good idea weather it needs to be done or not before i go... any info is helpful!!!! thanks!!!
I would ask for maintenance records. I just bought a 2000 S4 with 91K & the seller had records for the last 50K. I love the car already & I just took delivery Saturday.
Yeah i just called the dealership... the manager told me w/ the new privacy laws its hard to get any infolike that unless the seller provided it which he wasnt sure of... im gonna go for a test drive at 530 so well see!!!! im sure ill like the car but i dont wanna have to pay any extra for the car... no matter what KBB says im not taking less than 15,500 for my car!!! the sticker on my a4 was 20,500 ( i paid 17,100)in feb. 07 so i cant see taking less than 16,000 for it. they have a 2003 a4 exact same as mine except the colors w/ 8k less miles than mine for 18,900. so i cant see taking anything less than 16,000 cause they are probley gonaa advertise it for 19,999!!! plus im looking at atleast 1000 for the timing belt job if that hasnt yet been replaced!!!! im just hopping i dont get back form the test drive and they say they'll give me 13k for my ride... ill walk right out the door!!!
