Turbo Timer and Boost Gauge, What to buy?

Just bought 2000 S4. Added MTM Chip, Borla exhaust, Diverters, etc... Told I should get turbo timer and a boost gauge... Would appreciate your thoughts and recomendations.

Want the boost gauge to be as inconspicuous as possible, LMK what you guys think... Thanks!

Well... a pillar mount boost gauge won't be inconspicuous, so you are left with the vent gauges that are most popular.

There's a thread that was started earlier on this subject (A4 forum). Here's the link: Boost gauge and pod

A turbo timer is really a luxury item in my opinion. Unless you do a lot of aggressive driving and then stop and need to leave the car immediately, you don't NEED one. If you drive aggressively and then come to your destination, before you shut off the ignition, let the engine idle for a couple of minutes so the oil can cool down and bathe the turbo bearings properly; then shut the ignition off. A turbo timer will allow you to turn off the ignition, lock the doors and walk away while the TT cools down the engine before shutting off the power - it's all done by a timer. So, it's really a subjective choice.
