Volkswagen and Audi Questions.
 

The below statement was posted by someone on another forum im on. I thought it was kinda funny that he can compare the two cars. BTW, he was comparinga well equiped Passatand my 2002 B5 S4. I thought the wood grain plastic stickers were funny. So are they that much alike?



Volkswagens and Audis are birds of a same feather. Their chassis and drivetrains are identical. The main difference is the trim. With VW you get plastic trim.....with Audi you get plastic trim with woodgrain stickers on it....I've been under both many many times. Knowing what I know I would NEVER buy either one. For a more realistic comparison, think of at as Ford vs. Lincoln

WOW, so far off base! Yes the passat is based on the Audi frame, but they are much different!

Most Passats are FWD, & they transverse mount the engine. Stickers in the Audi interior? LOL!!!! It's much nicer & much higher quality then the passat!
