Default WHAT OIL DO YOU RUN?

Trying to see what everyone is running for oil in the B6 S4. My manual says that the car was originaly filled with 0/30 weight and goes on to say the these exact specifications must be kept. These specs are:

API's SJ and ACEA's A3.

It appears that I can either go with:

Mobil 1 0-40 or Castrol Syntec 0-30.

I am leaning towards the Mobil 1 because it is what I have been using on all my cars but the dealer says Castrol Syntec is what they like to recommend. Any input would be appreciated.

I run mobil 0-40. But I am trying to switch it to amsoil 0-40. If you go to a jiffy lube they usually have a recomended list in there computer and can help you get the right oil in your car.

Going with Mobil 1 0-40. Can't go to Jiffy Lube, it's against my religion, even if it's only for information. Purchased two cases last night and wondering how many is this car going to use.

Thanks to all!

in the 2.7 tt motor you use 5.9 or 6.9 I can't remember. The jiffy lube people are good if it is just an oil change the first time i went there it was flawless and they dinged me 70 bucks. the second time I went there I ran acroos the street and came back and the f*@king guy had my cabin filter out and my air box filter out. I wanted to kill the little f&*ker. I was like you better put that that stuff back togther and he had no idea how it went back together. So every other time I have gone there I stand and watch them. It works out well and its cheap.
