Default Taking a chance with Autobahn88 silicon hoses...

I recently bought, and just recieved the 12 piece Autobahn88 silicon hose kit for my 2001 S4. i am planning to install it tonight or tomorrow and wanted to see anyone has had experience with this company. I have read a few reviews with VW autobahn88 parts and they all seem to be positive and recommend the company, but the 1 review i read with an S4, he said there was alot of trimming involved and was very time consuming. I bought the kit off Ebay for $110 AFTER shipping...its a steal but i will see if they hold up or not...

If you want to geek out, use constant torque breeze clamps. but you'll probably end up spending more on clamps than you did the hose =)

i finished installing them last night and they fit way better than i expected, i only had to trim 2 smaller hoses which wasnt hard at all, just matched them up with the stock ones and cut them. other than that, everything was a breeze, a couple of the hoses were a pain to get on, but i would rather have that than have them slip right on. so far, acceleration, throttle response, and overall performance have seemed to slightly improve. turbos seem to have smoother and more powerful pull once i reach to 4000 rpm. As of now, i would recommend these Autobahn88 silicon hoses to anyone that wants a cheap alternative to those $700 hose kits. if any of them blow out, stretch, or just become old and dry, ill post it up.

Overall how do they look and feel? In particular, how do the upper intake hoses look (ones with the thing for the DV). Anyone try to use somehting to rub off the "autobhan88" logo?

I was going to buy the $400 Samco kit but the further i get into my build the more i need the money for other things. If anyone could get some high-ish resolution pictures of these hoses just so i can see the detail, on or off the car id be really appreciative.

i got some pics of them on the car.. ill get some pics in a couple of days.. multiple 24psi pulls and no problems so far.. all of them in 83+ degree weather.... but i do have an oem outlet hose on the driver side turbo that i couldnt get the autobahn kit to work.. and it still is holding up well.. i wonder if there is a place i could just buy the one hose...

What couldn't you get to work? Is the driver's side outlet hose from autobahn too small in diameter or something?
