Whats the price range for 2002 S4?
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get people's opinions on what the current fair market value would be for a low miles 2002 S4 withNO modifications in excellent condition. By low miles I mean between 30-40k original miles. I'm getting rid of my old 2000 Range Rover gas guzzler - its just killing me as a commuter car with these gas prices (I drive at least600 miles per week for work). What kind of average fuel economy can I expect from a completely stock car? I'm planning to do very mild mods - software, downpipe/exhaust and airfilter - will that significantly affect fuel economy?
Thanks,
Ed

your looking at about 16k and up for a stock 02 s4 6 speed, and they get about 17 in the city and 23 highway but thats what audi claims, its probably less. and your gas mileage should increase/decrease a little with your mods depending on what you do. im not sure i had a b7 not a b5 so ill let the b5 guys chime in

There is a guy locally advertisingan 026spd with 45k miles on it with software for 16,900 asking. Seems a bit steep for a 6 year old car with that milage in this market? Also not wild about a car that has mods on it - tells me that someone likely beat on it.

thats actually a pretty reasonable price for a b5 with 45k on it, most used turbo cars are going to be beat on if they have mods done to them. if your not looking to do many mods to it then i say look for a b6 or a b7

The ones I've been looking at have between 50 and 60k miles and are in the range of about 13-16 grand for a 2001.5-2002. You can get a B6 for about 20-25 I think I've seen a few but you have to be careful and have them checked out real good as thats probably a bit below blue book which isn't abnormal but so far below BB can be worrysome.

16.9k for an '02 with 45k miles is a pretty good price. Whats the color combo?
Also, I drove mine back from California, and got about 28 mpg keeping my speed around 83mph. If you slow that down to around 70, you should be able to get 30mpg+. Combined city/highway, I usually end up at about 23-24mpg. For a twin turbo V6, it actually gets pretty good mileage
