When is the expected due date of sale for a single turbo kit for the v6 s4? I'm interested. I wanna be able to make av6 s4 go real fast with quick turbo response, most likly with agt30r turbo or a same sized trimturbo but a faster spooling onemade by a different turbo manufactuer other than garret. And I'm sure alot of people would be interested in buying a single turbo kit and single turboing a v6 s4.

? hmmmm a few of them have been tried but none of them are being produced..... I think the most documented and successful single turbo S4 was the KTR S4 a few years back. Search youtube and google for KTR Motorsports S4. and youll see it. It went like 671AWHP. But with other cars like the WMS car with some extremly high HP numbers and the Red S4 at ASP that is in the 1000hp. Single turbo has ben proven (so far) not to be the most powerful option on the S4.

But the KTR S4 is no longer around, They parted it out and then sold the shell to WMS and they turned it into "the beast" but now the shell was sold again i believe and they put the motor in a lazer red sedan.

why why why? wouldn't you have to plug up one whole side? all the piping and inlets capped or something else. That's just like the one person trying to do that to both sides so that when his turbos went he wouldn't have to spend the money to replace them?!?! Why make life harder on yourself? God gave you two eyes would you like to poke one out so you could replace your other with some super awesome eye from a terminator movie? Besides saying you have two turbos will always be cooler than saying I have one big one or none.

Bigger turbo WILL equate to more lag. If you want quick response k04's are certainly faster than GT's, and 2 is MUCH better than 1 turbo as far as spooling speed. The b5 s4 has been out for 8 years now and twin turbo kits dominate the market, there have been and will continue to be a couple single turbo s4's but its alot of work and the chances of a kit coming out are pretty slim in my opinion.

just like the twin tubro 3000gt's and supra's... one big turbo wont cause a lot of lag... 2 big GT's yes. it's an interesting read , from what I have read.

Thats what I was thinking, after a certain point twin turbos on a 2.7 v6 would become very laggy because of the small displacement, so like instead ofusing one of thosegt28r twin kits on the market, I would assume something like a singlelargegt30r or a small gt35r would spool much faster on a 2.7 v6 thenthe 2.7 v6 trying to spool up two g28r's, with each turborunning off of 3 cylinders and 1.35 liters of displacment. Seems to me the gt28r's would be more laggy then using a singlelarge gt30r or a small gt35r, and besides I dont think the v6 s4 drivetrain could hold more than 600 hp anyway and still be reliable but maybe i'm wrong. Like the guys said above, when supra owners are trying make big hp they will use a huge single turbo as opposed to two pretty big gt series turbos, cause the single turbo will spool up much faster.

Yea, Igotta wait to see what the aftermarket has to offer and ill take it from their. I wonder if theiris proper software for tuning a single large turbo on theb5 s4, im sure their is but im not really sure what. Could a tuner just freely tune the ecu with out a chip or anything on the ecu like Al, from dynoflash?
