I am looking into selling my a4 for a b5 s4 within a year and plan on doing early research to know whats best etc. Basically i was wondering which year or year span during the b5 model has the best s4. I know there are subtle differences but some things are important to keep in mind. Iremember reading somewhere thatthe 2001 a4's stoped using forged headsor something, granted thats an exampleand prob a little wrong but what can you guys tell me?

*ESP
*new style "S Badge"

I have an 01 s4 with a delivery date of 01/01. It is a Canadian model and it has the ESP and the new S4 emblem. Would it be considered a 2001.5???

 

Yes it would..... wierd i thought the canuk' S4 didnt have ESp at all... o well i loose yet again.

 

Don't worry about it to much. Just find a really nice one that has been cared for.

No S4 should have the original TBB, so that's a wash. ESP & the sports (ie chrome mirrors) package is really the things you need to decide if you want them or not.
