Default 2.7T - exhaust cut out valve

Has anybody done or looked into installing a cut out valve on a 2.7T exhaust?
With dual system, is there a practical way to get it done with only ONE valve?

ive only seen it done with two cut-outs, right after the downpipes.

I would install after resonator (or if resonator replaced in the process after new X pipe).

wouldnt you want it as close to the turbos as possible? two at the bottoms of the down pipes would flow alot better than one after the resonator. the point is to bypass all the restrictive piping.

For me (daily driver, currently stage 2, all on deck for RS6 build), it would give me the option between quiet and sporty. Open downpipes are an absolute no-no for me. All soundtracks at the 'allroad exhaust thread' have the juvenile 'coffee can sound' (some just replace the mufflers with straight pipes) and/or unacceptable droning.

If the Miltek on the 2.7T (with resonator, naturally) produces the same tone as it did on my 1.8T AEB, then that will be the 'end solution'; but will be out of reach financially for quite a while.

Solutions I can envision:
a) custom X pipe with longer 4" middle section, one 4" cutout
b) stock or normal X pipe, 2 cutouts for stock diameter (2.25"?), parallel operation.

With b) a straight forward 'cut in' install (but 2x hardware) and a) a more complex custom fab and install, but only 1x (larger) hardware.

In any case: manual push-button operation, plus home brewed relay controlled either by boost, RPM or throttle position signal

someone on audizine has the dual cut-outs, from dmh, paired to ssautochrome 3in dp's and it sounds amazing.

Even just gutted dp's to dual cut-out sounds good. i think this would be the best solution considering youre gonna have to get new dp's when you do your turbo upgrade.

which ever way you go that home brew relay sounds like an excellent idea.
