$200 sounds very reasonable and to the others ( the tool that pushes the bearing out also pushes the new one in );)

simple job if you have a hydro ( trolley jack ) lift and don't forget you can buy the expansion joint as a clamp in which save the replacement of the cat

its sad that the Audi dealer didn't reset it with the correct diagnostic tool which they should have and that would eliminate the need for the drive cycle and I would agree there could be another...

its called a drive cycle and required when the battery has been disconnected they should have done that before giving you the car back so their fault

yep but to confuse things a little more, your first picture shows a damaged wire above the plug connector and second shows only the connector so which one are you talking about, and the ABS CEL would...

the idle valve rarely goes bad but does clog up with oil and some time the power to feed it is lost ( I had to rewire mine ) it should have battery voltage when ignition on,

doesn't look as bad as I expected, the pistons can be cleaned up and cant see any damage to the cylinder walls though picture is not that good and poor lighting, main damage is valves and as none...

the chip is the immobilizer so it has to Be programmed to the ECU or refit the old ECU;)

you cant disable it
you can break the bulb
you can fix it with a diagnostic test and find out what the problem is that way at least you will have a fault code to assist on the repair;)

it will only come back on if there is a problem so if not you sorted it, you might have hit some cold water and that would trigger the rear o2 sensor if the cold water hit it and the CEL has to be...
