It will go a lot farther than 200k, I did a leakdown test to an audi 80 with a 12V 2.8L with 795,000 miles on it, and it STILL had less than 7% leakdown. Thats about as good as a brand new 350 chevy...

The stock axles are far superior to aftermarket, just get a boot repair kit. However i've never found a GOOD CV boot repair kit for less than $60. New axles from audi are around $800.
