Default Revo didn't work!! ECU WONT FLASH

So we're in Charlotte, NC and went to NCDubs GTG today! It was a blast to say the least! Of course they had vendors there and included APR, GIAC, and Revo. After talking to each and with the price offered as a "show special" I decided to go with Revo. Well, after loading it I lost 2lbs of boost. So, we replaced a couple turbo lines and the DV and it didn't make it better. When the vendor hooked up his laptop it said that Revo was on there but disabled. So, he reflashed it back to stock and then it said that Revo was present and active! Of course after taking it on a very short test drive it wasn't. Well, I ended up with the 5 hour trial version that ended up working and we found out about an issue Revo has with 2000, 2001, and now 2002 ecu's.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has the Revo chip and if anyone has heard of this before?

BTW, chipping is freakin AWESOME!!!!!

Dispite APR's rep check out Revo's stages! It's well worth it and everyone I've spoken with that has it has nothing negative to say about it.

it didnt mean change from revo but the dealer that installs it. The person that installed it may of screwed up and find someone else local to install a revo file.

Sorry, I was responding to John.

So, I just found out that the local shop I take my TT to is an APR dealer so do I get APR or drive 175 miles one way for a Revo flash that may or may not work... tough question! What gets me though is Revo claims 440hp at stage 3 and APR claims 340hp for what I can figure to be a lot more money.

the revo claim is way over estimated for a 28rs, i just went to verify it said that. You can use the .86 housing file in conjunction with a 2871r which will make a little more than 400hp. But how close is the nearest giac dealer? if you plan on staying with the ko4 their sw will make more power than apr since they go more for power than balance.

Is APR tuneable?

When I was talking to the Revo guy he told me that only Revo is without having to remove your chip and sending it back to the company. I found a local APR dealer so if so I'll just byte it and go with them. I think my mod plans are going to be stopped after this because the wife wants a beater wrangler to go off roading with.

you can tune any chip w/ limmiwinks and a vag cable. You could use VTune for apr but i dont think its available for the 225's yet.

Is that what the Revo guy was talking about? or is it part of the chip install software? I've got limmiwinks and the cable so I'm good there. Just boosted my top speed to 150! Now I just need the guts to actually go that fast on the road instead of just the track.
